What Has Changed at Heathrow Terminal 4?
From 23 June 2026, Heathrow closed the Terminal 4 multi-storey car park, which handled Terminal Parking and Meet & Greet parking, as part of a major redevelopment programme. All passenger parking for Terminal 4 has moved to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park.
That means the usual advice for other terminals, "pick up from Terminal Parking", doesn't work at T4. Instead, you choose between the paid Priority Pick-Up Area or the free 2 hours at Park & Ride Zone A. Some road and terminal signs may still say "Long Stay" while Heathrow renames it Park & Ride.
How Much Is the Drop-Off Charge at Heathrow Terminal 4?
The drop-off charge at Heathrow Terminal 4 is ยฃ7 per vehicle, every time you enter the drop-off area. It's a per-visit charge, so if you drive in, leave and come back, you pay again. The same charge applies at every Heathrow terminal.
- Drop-offs only. Waiting and picking up aren't allowed in the drop-off area.
- Stay with your vehicle. Cars must not be left unattended.
- Electric cars pay too. There's no exemption or discount for EVs.
- Exempt vehicles: emergency service and military vehicles are exempt. Motorbikes, recovery vehicles, buses and coaches, and cars booked for Heathrow Valet Parking get a 100% discount automatically.
How Do You Pay the Terminal 4 Drop-Off Charge?
You pay the Terminal 4 drop-off charge by card, online, by automated phone line or through AutoPay, by midnight the day after your visit. There are no payment machines in the drop-off zones, and cash isn't accepted.
Three ways to pay the ยฃ7 charge
- Online: on the Heathrow website, by midnight the day after your visit.
